UnderLine Biography

About Underline
Underline is myself (Paul Lepki )  plus collaborators, based in my home studioin Surrey. It's a virtual band as such, although where I can I get my musician friends currently living in the South East to take part where possible. On my releases, I write and arrange all material, play all instruments (guitars,keyboards, bass, drums) and did all the MIDI programming and production. I aim to get a balance between performed and programmed  MIDI and real instruments.
	I write, arrange and perform my own material. Working off ideas either on bass, guitar or keyboards,  I then form these into  instrumentals or songs depending on if I've written lyrics,If someone is available to sing on it ;-)  I have also composed MIDI and SP-MIDI tracks for use as ring tones More info about my band history

About me
	I play bass guitar, keyboards, guitar and drums. I  am primarily a songwriter and bass player, and have been playing in bands since the mid-80s; I'm 35 now. I have recently worked with David Imrie and Robert Illes, in The Spirits Some other bands I've been in are  Dusk and Jade and Hanging Around. See this page for the full list.
Influencess:
I listen to a wide range of music, which covers funk, soul, rock, pop, blues, jazz, classical. My main influence would undoubtedly be Jimi Hendrix, then also The Stranglers, Muse, P-Funk,Supergrass,  Deep Purple, Mansun,Focus. Recently I've been  listening to Maroon5, NERD, Razorlight, Keane, Outkast
